There’s no website for Las Olas Blvd because it’s an experience, not a destination! Las Olas is also one of the most beautiful boulevards in Florida, with gorgeous landscaping and vibrant green spaces. You can see the Mediterranean influence in numerous buildings and experience the culture in many festivals throughout the year. (Don’t you dare miss the Las Olas Food and Wine Festival!) Invasive Species Brewing
Highlighted in Forbes magazine as one of the top undiscovered breweries in America, Invasive Species Brewing is a tasty treat! If trying something fabulous, new, and deliciously brewed sounds amazing, put Invasive Species Brewing on your must-visit list! Our suggestion; leave the kids at home for this one and call an Uber. Museum of Discovery and Science
The locals here who love this place call it MODS, their nickname for the incredible Museum of Discovery and Science! This is one of the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with kids, no doubt! There are dozens of interactive exhibits that are educational but, more importantly, fascinating! There’s also a new EcoDiscovery Center that’s incredible and offers Everglades airboat adventures. (It’s a blast for kids of all ages!) Jungle Queen Riverboats
Talk about an exciting and romantic adventure! The Jungle Queen Riverboat Company offers two different but equally impressive tours. The first is a sightseeing cruise that takes about three hours as you travel up the New River. You’ll see brilliant “Millionaires Row,” the Everglades, and a bit of downtown Fort Lauderdale too! A stop at the Jungle Queen Village is included and is absolutely amazing! It’s filled with remarkable birds like macaws, rare and beautiful plants, and even alligator wrestlers!
Jungle Queen Tours also offers a dinner cruise that lasts for four hours. After seeing the fascinating nature on the New River, you’ll stop for all you can eat barbecue ribs and shrimp! It’s educational, exciting, romantic, and delicious; all rolled into one incredible experience you won’t soon forget!
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
If peace and tranquility are what you seek, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park should be your destination. The Park is situated on a barrier island between the Inland Waterway and the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Filled with mangrove swamps, peaceful beaches, and unbelievable tranquility, the Park is one of the most popular in southern Florida.
