If you are looking for something a little bit different, something more in line with the local flavor and less of a corporate-run experience, you are in luck. We’ve got the low down on the best noms in Texas… Spring, Texas that is. Today, we’re looking at some of the best local or locally-owned restaurants in Spring, Texas. Zara’s Mediterranean Kitchen – One of the Best Restaurants in Spring, TX
If you knew shawarma like we know shawarma, Zara’s Meditteranean Kitchen would be one of your fave’s! Their lamb shank and lamb chops are absolute perfection, and their shawarma is to die for! They also have a wide selection of delicious Italian dishes as well. It’s traditional Mediterranean cuisine, and that’s all it needs to be! We highly recommend they’re Biryanis and Goat Vindaloo as well as their Andhra Chicken. The quality, and taste, will make you believe you’re in Greece, or maybe Egypt, or maybe…well, you get the picture. In our humble opinion, Zara’s is one of the best restaurants in Spring, TX!

Farley’s Fit Kitchen – Healthy Restaurant in Spring, TX
Let’s be honest, a lot of the food you get at restaurants is loaded with fat, salt, and sugar. Sure, it’s yummy, but it’s not so great for your overall health. At Farley’s Fit Kitchen, they take a different tack, creating food that tastes amazing and healthy and nutritious. Everything they make, from full meals to snacks and desserts, are made from scratch. They’re also all made to order, and Farley’s never uses frozen anything. More than that, they also provide a calorie count for everything. That way, you know exactly how many of them you’re putting in your tummy. We recommend everything on their fantastic menu, and so do their patrons, who give Farley’s a stellar 5-star rating!

Elm and Magnolia – Locally Owned Restaurant in Spring, TX
Formerly known as The Black Sheep, Elm and Magnolia recently changed its name but didn’t change its quality. That’s a good thing because their quality has always been stellar. For example, they source the majority of their ingredients from local farms so that they’re super fresh. There’s also an exceptional wine menu, and their brunch gets very high marks all around. Another excellent reason to go there is that there’s live music from Wednesday to Saturday. The owners, Maria and Joe, must be doing something right as their eatery has a solid 4.5-stars on Trip Advisor! As far as restaurants in Spring, TX are concerned, Elm and Magnolia is one of the best! By the way, we highly recommend the Crawfish Mac n Cheese!

Rakku – The Best Sushi Resturant in Spring, TX
Most sushi restaurants, while still good, serve up more or less the same sushi. Nigiri, sashimi, maki, you get the picture. At Rakku, though, they go above and beyond to deliver a sushi experience like no other. Their smoked salmon sashimi, for example, is absolutely delectable! Then there’s the Yellowtail Papaya Salad, which is one of the best we’ve ever tasted! Rakku also offers Vietnamese cuisine like pho noodle soup as well as food from several other Asian countries. In other words, they’re much more than a typical sushi restaurant. Another plus is that their dining room is very intimate, cozy, and stylish. If you’re going there on a date, it’s perfect! By the way, Rakku also focuses on creating healthy dishes using the highest quality ingredients.

JW’s Place Soul Food – BBQ Restaurant in Spring TX
A super-friendly staff and delicious food make JW’s Place one of Spring’s true gems. (The atmosphere is pretty good, too!) We highly recommend you try the Fish, Okra & Tomatoes with Collard Greens and hot water cornbread. It’s incredible! Their ribs are so good they fall off the bone easily, and their fried chicken is world-class. JW’s, like the rest of the restaurants on our list, only uses fresh ingredients. Most of their ingredients are also bought locally, which we really like. But, again, the food is the key! It’s so good JW’s Place Soul Food & BBQ might just become one of your favorite restaurants in Spring, TX!
