Storage Units at 1031 Albion Ave in Schaumburg, IL 60193

First things first, Adam is awesome. He’s the best guy that’s most understanding and best service in the storage unit industry. My mom and I have been renting from this storage unit since December because it’s the most affordable in the area and Adam hooked us up with a great deal! We haven’t had any issues except I did rent a unit for myself under my name but Adam by mistake gave us the wrong storage unit written on a sheet of paper and the key didn’t work for the correct unit. Our key got stuck on the lock and he was able to help us get it out and gave us a new free lock! It was a little frustrating at first but I knew I could count on him to get this issue fixed. TLDR: The best service at the most affordable storage unit in the area!!

First off I have to say that Adam is an absolute Angel, he was nothing but while my father and I are in the process of clearing our unit. He even took the time to help me create a plan to making the moving process much easier and more cost effective. THANK YOU ADAM!!!

Let’s just say what would Istorage do without Adam i’m so serious. I never seen better customer service in my life. He goes over and beyond for his customers he’s patient extremely kind and gets right to business if you need any help have questions or concerns. For months, I Storage was without a property manager, and before that the person who was there wasn’t the greatest, so yes, I’m taking the time to write this review cause Adam is one of a kind and you will not find anyone else like him.

This facility is hands down the cleanest storage facility I have used. You can tell Adam the property manager takes pride in what he does. He is always upfront and honest. I absolutely recommend this facility over all others.

I needed storage space in a hurry my daughter was coming home from college because there was an outbreak of covid there and she wanted to get away. I was lucky enough to find space at istorage in Schaumburg. Because we were getting home late at night with a rental truck full of her property the manager Adam at the istorage in Schaumburg suggested we take a unit that has 24-hour access due to an overhead door on the outside of the building. I was minorly concerned about the safety of such a unit. The manager Adam assured me it was very safe and well lit outside the building. When we got there we could not believe how bright the lighting outside of the building and also inside of the unit we rented. The unit was Immaculate inside and because of the way it was built it is completely climate controlled by the rest of the building. The manager Adam made a stressful situation seem like it was no big deal at all. He's the best!

I have 2 indoor storage units here and after going to multiple ones in a 10 mile radius this place charges the same or better for what you get. It always looks clean and as a woman I feel safe at this location even if alone and in the evening. Adam Hauger is amazing, very knowledgeable about the property and got my second unit process in only a few minutes. Im very satisfied with this location and recommended it to my friends and business partners.

Just rented a space at this iStorage location, but have had good experiences so far. I am new to iStorage, previously used Public Storage, but I like it so far. They have modern-looking storage units, bathrooms at the building, can park your car inside to unload your items, and they have equipment that’s helpful for moving stuff in/out of your storage unit. I was able to secure a reservation right away, at great rates, and process was easy, and straightforward. Property Manager Adam, has been very helpful! He really goes above just the standard customer service duties, to help you out, and answer all your questions. So far, so good!

Adam was great from the initial phone call to meeting in person! He had great knowledge about the units and he was able to understand our needs immediately. I've been renting with iStorage in Schaumburg for awhile now and everyone who has worked there that I've met and worked with so far has been a pleasure to speak with. Unfortunately sometimes I don't always see the workers when there, but in my case I've rented both a small unit and a large unit in my circumstances for storage needs. The process to switch over from one size to another was not an issue at all other than needing to transfer my stuff from one unit to the other which stinks in anyone's case! Sue helped me out when I had questions about charges and my account etc. She was patient, respectful, and helped me in a timely manner when I was on the phone with her. Oh my gosh I can't believe how clean this place was and how great the staff is!!

So far so good, I like my unit and my only hiccup is that timing of the lights. They come on and off with a timer and if I'm organizing inside the unit, it goes out everywhere. I know that I'm safe, it just feels creepy sometimes. Grateful for this indoor space. Tammy is AMAZING for so many reasons. She explains, helps and goes the extra mile. She is an asset in every way.

My time with this storage was great and easy. Tammy made my experience less stressful by always helping me with my needs in a timely matter. I even lost my lock and we took care of it in no time. Great business

Renting the unit itself was easy peasy. Signing the electronic rental agreement was a chore and a half. It really needs to be streamlined.

I love this facility! Am currently renting two units... both are climate controlled. I can pull my vehicle right into the heated garage bay, and unload onto the carts that are available. Super clean elevators take me up to my unit... it's so much nicer than freezing outside at my old storage unit. The building is immaculate and well maintained. It looks brand new... but it's several years old already. The Property Manager, Tammy, is a gem... she is super helpful and responsive. Thrilled that I found this place!

Carol and Larry are the best! They took the time to answer all of my questions about storage units (and I had a lot), took pictures of the units I was interested in, and Larry was able to show them to me in person. In my current storage unit, there was a pipe I was concerned about, and Larry took the time to call someone to figure out what it was. They are both so kind, very professional, and really care about their customers. I didn't even look at any other storage unit facilities because of how great the reviews were, and I've found that they are true! The facility is also really clean, and I love that the storage units are inside of a building as well as temperature controlled. You can park your car inside of the building as well to move your stuff to your unit, which is really convenient. Lastly, although the rent price can differ on the unit from month-to-month, I was told you can pre-pay to lock in your rate, which I will be doing. I've been here for one month and would highly recommend it. Thank you Carol and Larry!

Best storage experience ever! From the first phone call with Carol to the personable, efficient service provided by Larry, I could not be more pleased with our experience at Extra Space in Schaumburg. The facility is new and spotless and the prices fair.

Pros: Online leasing process is efficient; facility is clean; Hand carts are readily available; the management team is very responsive to questions; the indoor bay can easily fit a 12ft- 14ft box truck. Cons: My initial rate on a 10x15 first floor unit was $158 per month. The monthly rate has now increased by 46% to $230 after the first four months. Before I rented the unit I was told that a rate adjustment was unlikely to occur during the first six months of the lease and when a rate adjustment does occur it would be reflective of “market conditions”. Given that the rate adjustment occurred earlier than expected I talked to Carrol (district team lead) today in order to clarify my understanding of the rate adjustment process. Carrol did confirm that rate adjustments are based on market conditions, but these adjustments are only applied when the rate increases. If at some point in the future extra space storage is offering the same 10X15 first floor unit for $158 a month I will still pay $230. Given that extra space does not offer an option to lock-in your rate for a period of time with an up-front prepayment (which I asked about before I signed my lease) I think it is reasonable to expect that my rental rate would be subject to both upward or downward rate adjustments based on market conditions. Instead the reality is my rental rate is subject to only continuous upward rate adjustments for the entire duration of my lease. To be transparent, as of the date of this review, my 46% rate increase appears to be in line with the market as the same 10X15 unit at this facility is listed for $244 a month. I will be sure to update this review accordingly upon subsequent rate adjustments.

The manager Theodore was extremely helpful and informative. He talked us through all of our available options and was patient while we decided what worked best for our situation. We had no issues on our same day move-in. The facility is top notch and is very clean. There are always carts available and ready to grab up front by the entrance. There are cameras everywhere, which makes us feel safe and assured that our belongings are secure. Great experience so far!

I rented my unit online because of its high rating and was not disappointed. Besides a small snafu with the sizing of the unit, which was taken care of promptly by Theodore (acting manager) and followed up the next day by Carol (facility manager). I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the facility (no funky storage building odors lingering in the corridors), well lit hallways, huge drive-in storage bays to unload a truck out of the weather and after-hours accessibility (I also felt safer at night) and multiple flat carts for my use. I've used other facilities in the past, but extra space surpassed my demanding expectations. Best part - a bit less than other facilities with a lot more perks!

Just rented a space at Extra Space Storage and just wanted to say that everything went very well. I was greeted by Zach, who was friendly and helpful. He showed me the unit and explained the process of moving in. Then when I actually signed on to rent a unit, Ed was a great help walking me through the process over the phone. Didn’t take long and Ed made it easy to understand. Both men were very professional and courteous. I thank them very much.

Extremely clean facility, nice smooth floors, (I know it's not NEEDED, but it sure was a pleasant surprise!), and I was able to do the entire process online in less than 20 minutes; a bonus when you have a 1 yr old. I was emailed a copy of the lease agreement to sign, then a confirmation email. When I arrived, Theodore opened the door for me, showed me where to pull the vehicle in- 2 big open spaces, with 5 loading carts available- awesome when you have helpers- and doors that automatically close. He was friendly, polite, made small talk with me, (I also appreciated adult conversation), and walked me all the way to my unit. He gave me the welcome brochure and my new lock. When my helpers and I left, he said goodbye and wished us well. I DEFINITELY recommend this place!!

Wonderful Experience! This is the 3rd storage facility I'm trying and this is by far the best one I've worked with so far. Upon my arrival I was greated by Roman, shown the premises and walked to view my unit. Honestly, I could not ask for better service. I highly recommend this location.

I worked with Roman to reserve a storage unit. Due to COVID-19 our plans changed several times. Each and every change both Roman and Brittany accommodated us with patience and professionalism. Great team to work with!!

I felt everyone was friendly and the space is very clean .

Have to say I tried to go to public storage a little close to closing and they refused to take my money for a unit luckily I found extraspace storage and Carol was wonderful and even let us in last minute to rent a unit. Very professional and super friendly unlike their rivals. The units are very clean and they have great security all throughout the building and 24 hour access to units on the outside.

The facility is super clean and you can pull into an indoor bay/garage area and load/unload. The ladies up front are very friendly and helpful. Best of all, the pricing is very good for the spacious, climate-controlled units. Don't waste your $ with that orange dump, you don't need to!!

I'm so mad at myself for being a square! I have always used PS for storing things over the years and never even considered anyone else. Well, a person left a review about this place Extra Space Storage on the PS reviews and I checked them out and sold immediately! Roman is one of the nicest and caring people on the planet, it helped especially in times like these! I felt like I knew him for years already. He made me feel so comfortable and that my belongings would be safe and clean at his facility. The place was by far clean, cool (temperature), and huge savings v the other place. Well, needless to say I spent approximately $70 more at the other place and didn't even bother to ask for a refund. I will always use Extra Space Storage, and happy for the person that put the good review up on the other storage company's blog. Thank you again Roman in Schaumburg!!!

Wow! Super clean and bright with auto-on LED ceiling lights when you walk to your unit. The drive-in bays to get out of the weather are a great feature I’ve never seen anywhere else. Bridget was awesome when I stopped by to check it out and get a unit. She offered a tour of the property and helped me select a convenient location on the second floor accessed by two large freight elevators for easy in-out with the provided hand carts.

Carol was awesome! I had to move storage units from a different company and she was so helpful and explained how their insurance policy works. Very clean units, excited to be using Extra Space.

I’ve used many different storage facilities before and honestly have hated dealing with storage prices and poor customer service in the past. All of that is different now that I’m renting with Extra Space Storage. Immediately after reserving my unit online, I received a follow up call to confirm my reservation for the next morning (yes it was a short notice reservation which was promptly accommodated without issue!) When arriving at the facility, I was greeted with early morning smiles from both Jessica and Carol, immediately making me feel welcomed and rest assured that the previous glowing reviews were truth to be told! I’m very happy with the service, price and overall cleanliness of the facility. I feel very safe and at ease knowing my belongings are in good hands! :)

I was actually on my way to another storage facility when I passed them by. After going to other one I decided to stop by here to check them as well. I was met by Jessica who had a very welcoming and friendly personalty. We discussed prices and then she brought me to look at the unit. I liked everything I seen. I told her I would let her know on monday if the space would work for me. I called on monday and told her it was a go. I showed up to do paperwork on the unit and Jessica had all the paperwork ready to go. From my understanding this is a new location in the company and it shows with construction and cleanliness. Jessica was a pleasure to work with and would recommend her and Extra Space to anyone. I never felt like i was a customer, the whole time I felt as if we were two friends talking and she was helping a friend out. Go see them!
