Great staff and facility on Barry Rd. and Green Hills. The cost is relatively high, but the facility is brand new. I would give them five stars, but the "temperature or climate control" could be much better. Sure, it's better than outdoor storage units, but it is still very cold inside as of February 2023. Again, better than outdoors. But it could be better.

Connie & Trent & have helped me out so much & also with just the little things. Like Connie helped me with getting everything moved to a different unit. With my truck breaking down and making sure she held that unit for me. I like how safe all my stuff here feels & with how easy it is to move everything around. The staff is so polite here. Also dont have to worry about weather issues here with it being climate control.

I came in to get prices for a move I have in the future. I was greeted by a man named Trent. He was amazing. He answered every question that I had, very professional, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back when it is time to rent.

I am someone who goes off first impressions, so after looking at several other units it was a no brainer to come back and rent a storage space from here. Trent Miller was absolutely amazing! He was so friendly, funny and just seemed super, super genuine which was refreshing to see because some people are just so mechanical these days and are only concerned with getting your business/money. Even though I initially told him that the location of the storage space he showed me was too far for me to load things by myself, his kindness is why I came back. He even offered to help me unload some things which was really nice. On top of the phenomenal customer service, the storage unit/building is very clean and well kept. It was the perfect size for what I needed it for and the price was very reasonable as well! Oh! And the fact that the units are inside and are temp controlled is a super bonus!! I don’t have to worry about any weather damage to my property.

Storage 1 KC was fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend storing here. They helped me make the right decision on the size of the space (saving me money) and we're extremely helpful throughout the process. A special note to make: after moving everything out of my unit, I had left it empty and unlocked expecting to go in and let them know the next day. Early the next morining they sent me a text message making sure I was the one who emptied my unit and that everything was ok. I was so grateful for the care and thought put into it. It really made me feel like my things were truly secure the entire time. They closed my account via text message which was extremely convenient (saving me a trip) and were kind the throughout the process. The staff here are so nice and really made this experience great which is why I would recommend choosing Storage 1 KC as your storage facility.

From start to finish my experience with Storage 1 KC was great. Natalie was fast, friendly, and very professional. I moved all the stuff from my previous, overpriced storage to this wonderful, much more reasonable storage option. The design had the customer in mind so regardless of where your unit is there is a door that is close to it. The best thing is they have carts so you can push instead of trying to carry everything. I would absolutely recommend Storage 1 KC.

I was blown away by the prices compared to the quality of units offered. I was able to get a large size unit for a cheap price. Easy access anytime of day. Not to mention the great quality of customer service they offer. I would recommend this unit to friends and family.

My Quick review is simple: More than Highly Recommend! Long review: When I moved into my apartment down the street from Storage 1 KC, it was still not even more than a lot with some beams. It built over the months I lived down the road. Only fitting that when moving from that apartment we turned to them for storage. I made one initial phone call, explained my situation and past reason to worry about paying for too big a unit. They held a unit for me without more than a very down to earth phone call. Moving day, it was a breeze and only took longer than it should, because Natalie and I just were having one of those great, genuine conversations, like she was friends with me from back home. Truly great prices, phenomenal service, and we spent maybe two phone calls (one on moving day) + 10 minutes on rules overview, payment and documents etc, getting our unit setup. Purely the smoothest experience I’ve had yet with indoor storage firms! You’d do yourself a disservice not considering them.

I have had a very positive experience with Storage 1! I have had a quick response to my initial inquiry and they were really good about calling to check in with me when I had to keep moving out the possible move in date range. I went in last Saturday and within 30 min had my unit and had moved some stuff in. They have carts for renter usage (Super helpful) and multiple unloading points. The building is clean and the has the best rates for climate control units (i have researched!!) Would definitely recommend

I am SO GLAD I found this place! I moved in on day 2 of being open and the owner was super helpful in talking with me about everything and answering my more detailed questions (since I'm familiar with self storage and she could tell). Great rates too! There is a freight lift that is not the most convenient to use but it does get the job done. You roll your stuff in, close the door, hit the up button, walk up the stairs, and retrieve your stuff. There is also a normal elevator I saw on the other side of the building that looked spacious enough to use for moving but I don't know if they like that or not. Carts are provided. There's entrances spaced around the building, which is a great feature that I'm not used to seeing at other facilities! However, I have mentioned that it would be nice to be able to see which exit you're standing at from the inside, from down the hallway. Walking around the place, all the doors look identical from the inside, so when you're new like me and wandering around to find which exit you parked at, it can be a bit difficult. You can't even stick your head out to read it, it's printed on the canopy, so you have to walk out and look, then punch in your code to re-enter. They did add signs with unit numbers on the hallways, which is definitely helpful for new people. I think they should add arrows to them as well, though. A sign saying "2501-2529" at a 4-way intersection is definitely better than nothing but still a little unclear at times. The access hours are standard for what I'm used to. The gate codes are a little long but doable. The sliding doors usually stay open for a while so even if you do have to type your code in multiple times, it's still less often than it might have been otherwise. The exit gate doesn't require a code, it's a weight sensor. You do have to pull up a bit closer than I expected for it to register and open the gate, but it works.

Picky that i am, I found a storage where is like home. Good customer service, clean and high tech safe place. Different size storage for different pockets. Storage 1KC is #1
