How much space do I need to store my motorhome?

The size of a motorhome can vary greatly, and so can the size of parking spots at storage facilities. It's critical to know if your motorhome will fit into the parking spots offered. Here are the different classes of motorhomes and the storage sizes they require:

Class A – Class A includes the largest motorhomes. You’ll need as much as 45 feet in length to accommodate the largest RVs in this class.

Class B – Class B motorhomes are the smallest. They measure up to 19 feet in length.

Class C –Make sure a parking space for a Class C motorhome is between the low 20’s on up to 33 feet long. Usually, these also require a specialized facility for indoor storage.

Height is also a consideration when looking for motorhome storage. They can be up to 13 feet, 6 inches tall, so check for proper clearance if you plan to store indoors.

Advantages

Less Damage: RVs are built to withstand the elements, but exposure to the outdoors for a long period isn't good for any vehicle. High humidity, extreme temperatures, rain, and other natural threats can all be avoided in the off-season with an iStorage unit.

More Security: We've designed our facilities to provide an extra layer of protection from thieves and predators. Electronic passcode entry, security cameras, locked fences, and even on-site staff keep a close eye on things while you’re away.

More Room: Motorhomes take up a lot of space. Even if you have a very large garage or ample yard space, your options may be limited by your homeowners' association. Or you may want to avoid the struggle of maneuvering around an RV in the driveway or garage every day.

Convenient Access: The portability of an RV is one of the major reasons people purchase them. They make it easy to travel anywhere with road access. Storing your motorhome at a facility near your favorite destination or lake or close to a roadway you travel often adds even more convenience to your RV experience.
