I went online to reserve a unit, but went in the office and finished up in the office. Very polite and knowledgeable.
Pleasant staff. Fairly easy online rental. Unit needs a little maintenance, as door is hard to open and overhead light has no on/off cord. I'm sure they will attend to these minor items.

We called a dozen storage companies in the north(west) knoxville area and Metro Self Storage had the best rates around! Actually, the first call made, we were told they had no availability. But Angela was nice enough to call us back to say an opening had just come up for the size we needed. Within minutes, she emailed the necessary paperwork and the contract was signed. After going in person to provide ID, payment info, etc., Angela gave me a walk through and explained everything I needed to know. I purchased a storage lock from their store and she provided me with a personal security code to gain access to the security gate. I'll also add that there is a tall security gate, topped with barbed wire, that surrounds the property and security cameras are on every corner. I have no reservations whatsoever about storing our belongings at Metro Self Storage!

I would recommend Metroself Storage to anybody in this area because the staff have, specifically Angela, have impressed me. I am coming in from out of town due to a death in my family. My mother has a storage unit at the Central Avenue location and remembered how professional and courteous Angela had been. When I called to set up a new unit she treated me with the same respect answering all of my questions and giving me options. Over the next few hours, and phone calls, due to changing circumstances Angela showed patience and compassion. She made everything easy so we could focus on healing. Great place to put your stuff
I just have to say that this place is great. The management is as accommodating as one might hope for and the facility is well kept. I've read complaints about people losing their stuff to auction or being charged excessive fees...well then pay your rent on time. I signed a rental agreement that clearly states when my rent was due and what happens if I don't pay. I don't think Metro is to blame if you fail to pay, for whatever reason, and find yourself getting auctioned. Grow up people...personal responsibility is a real thing.

Overall, the storage place is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful, and worked well with me when I was trying to find a large enough unit when I moved. The units are clean, and I have yet to have an issue with insects or animals getting into it. Especially with it being an outside storage facility. The only frustrating issue I see with this place is their constant change in prices. I understand in order to keep the facility looking nice and our units kept up, there needs to be a raise in rent. I just feel that if they keep raising the unit rent, I will have to find another unit.

Aside from one small glitch on our arrival which was corrected by the manager, all went smoothly, and I am extremely satisfied with the storage area, security, and service.
